Meet Our Team
Courtney Dixon
Founder, Director of Admissions & Finance
Courtney was born and raised in Bullitt County. She attended The University of Louisville to play collegiate volleyball where she received her degree in Sports Administration as a student-athlete. After graduating she became the Director of Kentucky Indiana Volleyball Academy (KIVA) a youth club volleyball program that services over 2,000 athletes between Louisville and Lexington locations. Courtney lives in Bullitt County with her Husband Will and their three children Braxton, Liam, and Mila. Courtney was a product of Public and Catholic education. However, she felt called to homeschool as their oldest child began Kindergarten. She had a vision of creating an environment for her son and others to be able to learn and grow through nature. She has a passion for helping children embrace their childhood, finding joy through exploration of play, and growing in confidence. From her vision she founded Little Seeds Forest School.
Rachel Sliter
Founder, Director of Education & Teacher
Rachel grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She is a certified teacher with a dual-certification from the University of the Cumberlands in PK-5th Elementary Education and K-12 Special Education. She lives in Mount Washington, Kentucky with her Husband Steven, their five year old son Makai and 1 year old daughter Cami. She loves Jesus and believes He should be at the center of everything. She believes children learn best when they’re given the freedom to play, explore, ask questions, and experience the world around them. She believes childhood is meant to be spent outdoors getting messy, using their imaginations, discovering new things, and simply enjoying the wonder of being a kid. She is so excited to bring this vision to life and create a place where children can feel loved, encouraged, and free to explore and learn. It is such a blessing to have the opportunity to pour into the children and families in our community and create an experience they’ll truly love and remember!
